(FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.)
WELLINGTON [New Zealand], MARCH 28.
A conference of sheep farmers in the high country in the district of Canterbury has demanded that vigorous measures be taken for the destruction of the carnivorous mountain parrots whose ravages are becoming increasingly serious. One instance is given of a sheep being killed within 700 ft. of sea level. It is feared that the birds may spread over the whole country.
